Recently, in Newberry, we learned that the mill village has become a main source of housing for hispanic families. Is this true in other mill villages around the state?
How could these people be engaged to become vested in preserving and rehabilitating these historic resources?

Elaine Lacy is the Director of Research for the Consortium for Latino Immigration Studies at USC. She was telling me about this situation in Newberry and should have additional information for those interested. The CLIS site is: http://www.sph.sc.edu/cli/
