Promoting Mill Village Preservation in SC

How can we generate enthusiasm and support for preserving South Carolina's mill villages among the general public?

These mill sites can be adapted to alternative uses such as loft apartments, commercial/retail space, or even different types of industrial use. These projects significantly revitalize the communities in which they are located, and the developer/owner gets some valuable tax incentives to help pay for the project (tax credits can be converted to equity if done properly). People just have to understand what the possibilities are.
